"The story of this townhouse project is a desire to live and work in a truly sustainable way. It is inspired by the traditional city model of 'living over the shop’, where the work place is annexed to, but also very much part of, the life of the house and its surrounding community. The house is situated opposite the stone walls of the Botanic Gardens. A Victorian red-brick mid terrace house has been faithfully restored and modestly extended. The Mews Garden Studio is situated within its own courtyard, entered via a sliding gate from the rear access road. South and west larch windows provide natural light and ventilation.
